Nature is my muse. I search for details that inspire; whether it be a found object or living plant. I find a feather on the forest floor, where ravens have gathered in a dead tree above. I see a mushroom with a mesmerizing gill pattern, or an agave rocketing from the rugged desert soil. These moments are what I am drawn to; a delicate balance of life in it's most intimate form.
I feel that I have lived many lives in this lifetime; having experienced a lot of life, death, and beautiful transitions. With my exploration of self and consciousness I have found a sense of peace within my heart. The art of nature, balance, and harmony. PhotoLevo exemplifies my artistic journey towards light.
I'm drawn to desert plants, open vistas, and the rugged Southwest. This magical landscape that I live upon continues to inspire my work.
My studies include a BFA in Photography from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and a graduate of Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine. My education has lead me to be knowledgeable in all camera formats, know my way around a darkroom, experiment with alternative processes, and to create visual art on a daily basis. Most importantly, I am continuously learning and growing with life experience.
